"Good Product, Questionable Vendor Support"
Pros: Stable/working, one of the best feature sets in the AM2/micro-ATX category.
Cons: Poor nForce Chipset (MCP68/630a) support from NVidia / ASUS. Known Integrated Ethernet problems. BIOS still evolving (both a pro and con).
Summary: Current Drivers (ASUS:1413 / NVidia:1410) are puzzling for those familiar with previous nForce chipsets. The latest BIOS (0312) offers SATA, AHCI, and RAID options. NVidia chipset drivers exist for AHCI and RAID modes only. If you're looking for those optimized nForce SATA/PATA IDE drivers to replace the Windows generics, there aren't any.
The last NVidia nForce update was May 3, 2007, around the time the MCP68 was announced. Hmmm ... I hope they don't think they're done?
ASUS Tech Support (US-based) is the worst I've ever encountered in 25 years working in the Computer Biz: very poor attitude and product knowledge.
