"Buyer beware"
Pros: Tech support can be exceptional if you get the right person
Cons: Horrible sales and service - Quality of product - terrible
Summary: I have almost 10K into the machine without a monitor. After having the machine for about 8 months, I have decided I should have bought a used Yugo with the money instead. Don't get me wrong, the machine is fast when it is working BUT I have had to send it back to Alienware 2 times in the 8 months I have had it. I have never received the machine in full working order - not the first time I got it or after any of the subsequent repairs. I would need a full page to generate a complete list of the shoddy work, lies, and horrible service. I still can't believe it. Yes, there are still outstanding issues.
The sales guy for ALX, Eddie, is a liar and completely useless. Avoid him at all costs. If you are foolish enough to buy one of these things stay away from Eddie and make sure you have a backup machine. You are going to need it!

This isn't about the product and is not intended to offend anyone. I just have to ask though. You're like the third person to say they put near or over 10K into this machine. where in the name of god did you get the money for it?

This is Ediie and I work for Alienware. How dare you mention my name in your user opion of the Alienware Area-51 ALX 7500. I am offended and I think your the only problem to this p.c. not me. if you don't like your product well to bad. Also I would like to mention, as it turns out I was employee of the month for May, beat you sucker.

That is very interesting that you mention the name Eddie. He's part of my problem as well. I can't say a single good thing about this company after my experiences with them. Overall: great "looking" systems on paper, BUT horrible, deceitful customer service.
