"Absolute rubbish that belongs in the bin."
Pros: It detects all spyware as well as preventing you to go to bad sites with known spyware.
Cons: Totally drains resources and slows down your machine. Seems like an unfinished product due to its missing file to run live-update.
Summary: I have a 2 weeks old Asus G2. I purchased and downloaded the program few days ago because I was quite happy with its 2006 predecessor on my old PC. Upon running it, I was totally surprised by how the program managed to brought my laptop down to a snail like speed. To top it all, despite paying the full license the live-update doesn't seems to work. Having checked their technical support website I realize that mine actually missing its crucial file to actually run the live-update program! I've tried fixing it by uninstall, re-download and re-install but to no avail. Conveniently for them, they don't have customer service number in which you can call! So I wrote an email to tell them about the problems as well as the missing live-update file on the program but heard nothing from them. I totally wasted ?30 ($50) on a complete rubbish.

No problems. Seems a lot faster than previous version or Spy Sweeper 5.0. No noticeable performance lag, lighter on resouces than Spy Sweeper according to WinMem Optimer on my my computer. (AMD 3700+, Asus MB, 2GB OCZ RAM,)

As a 'silver surfer' I bought the v3.00 and found it worked fine. I got a free upgrade to 2007. Am running a self-built Desktop PC-WinXP Pro dual booting Vista Home Premium. I haven't noticed any slowing down etc in either Windows. Maybe the problems others had were due to the figuration of their desktop/Laptop.I also run the free Adaware and find it almost as good as Spy.Doc.! (Am in Ireland and have no connection whatsoever with PC Tools)
