"Everything you need in a sleek design"
Pros: Brushed Aluminum design, very fast, bright HD screen, HDMI, Slot loading DVD, Built in Web Cam suite rivals Macs
Cons: Fingerprints sticks on outertop
Summary: The Dell XPS 1530 is the 3rd laptop I have purchased after a old Gateway and a 2006 Macbook Pro and I must say it was a worthy purchase. Right out of the box, the 1530 comes with all required software and only a couple free trails programs (MS Office 07 and Trend Micro nothing else). You get Roxio Creator, MS works, and a full range of new updated Microsoft programs. My system cam pre-installed with Microsoft Vista Ultimate which I find just as fast and responsive as OS X leopard which is running on my Macbook.
On the hardware side the system really delivers. Compared to the latest Macbook Pro, the XPS offers much more being a premium system at half the price. The system I got came with 3 Gb memory, Intel Core 2 Duo at 2Ghz, 200Gb hard drive at 7200 RPM, 15.4 inch HD display and all ports you will need including HDMI and it comes with mini remote for watching media. The fingerprint reader is a added bonus and is very responsive.
