Summary: Typically about half-way through a movie, this DVD player stops working. The picture pauses, sometimes pixelates, and sometimes it skips entire sections of the DVD before it plays again. You have to constantly pause, rewind, or fast forward the DVD to get it to play again, then it works for about 2 seconds before it stops again. Sometimes you have to stop the DVD altogether, start it over, then find the scene where you left off. It makes watching a movie the most painful experience ever. I'm tempted to throw it outside ... then run over it with my car. Infuriating.

Sounds like you have a defect. I don't think your 1930CI speaks for all of them. I can only say that in my opinion this is about the best player for the money. It comes very near HD DVD quality in some cases depending on the source. Instead of running it over with your car, why not return it under warranty. You have a year.
