Vizio L37

Pros: Cheap affordable lcd tv. Great picture , sound quality.

Summary: I was in the market for an lcd television. After searching,and doing countless hours of research I decided to go with the Vizio lcd tv. I couldn't imagine paying twice as much for the same size tv.

I purchased my tv from Sams club. The tv was $999.87. Since it was under a $1000.00 the extended 3 year warranty was only $79.03,and the warranty goes in effect after the one year manufactures warranty. Not bad for a 4 year warranty. Sams club informed me that if I have any problems with it in the next year while it is under manufactors warranty I could just bring it in the store, and they would replace it with a new one.

Okay, now I waited a month before placing my review of this product to make sure that I was happy with it. I do have a couple of cons that I beleive that I should point out if your in the market for this tv.

1- The remote will only work directly in front of the tv. So if you sit off center of the tv you will have to get up and get in the front of the tv the make the changes. Why have a remote? I have a a dvd recorder that I ran the cable line through first that ran the cable line to the tv, and I just operate the tv on the dvd input.

2- Of course I wanted to hang the tv on the wall, and Sams club had an Easymount backet for $100.00. Of course I thought that was a little high so I purchased one off of ebay for $40.00 with shipping. I got he tilt version of the mount to avoid sun glare. On the back of the tv there are a total of 8 screw holes that you use for the mount. Of the 8 holes you use 4. I used the the holes that where further apart. On most lcd tvs they have more holes and are seperated further. The wholes are in the middle of the tv and only a couple of inches in height from each other. So when you go to hang it, it is bottom heavy so it tilts. After a couple of adjustments I have it the way I want it. So if you purchase this tv, please keep this inconsideration when you buy the mount. It could be just the mount.

After all I really can't complain for the price, and the quality. I'm very happy with it, and I would reccommend it, but I beleive that these are the only flaws that I noticed. Every tv has some flaws.
