"Better than bluray"
Pros: cheaper and better than bluray
Cons: not inside the xbox 360
Summary: I have been looking at the picture quality of the bluray vs hddvd and I have to say the hddvd looks better(for now). I will buy one of these for my 360. Its a lot cheaper than buying a $500 hddvd player or $1000 for a bluray dvd player. Many Ps3 people are very upset with the poor picture quality of the ps3 and the sony bluray player. Maybe, thats just because of some problem right now. The Bluray disks are to expensive to make. The HDDVD are the way to go so thats why the price for this 360 add on is a good idea.

Compare it to a PS3 released. Bluray had bugs when you made your comments but the Ps3 want out yet so your comparison should be hd dvd player vs bluray player at the time not xbox vs PS3. No problem with my PS3 I watched 2 movies both ran great. Also just so you know I think Peeps should wait 360 and live and the new downloadable content on live blows sonys online strategy away. My only complait would be the assertion about a product not released yet @ the time of your first review.

Blu ray and hd dvd should look identical. They both run on the same technolgy. Blue ray uses a different laser thickness and the disc itself holds more info. The difference is how the information is compressed on the disc and how the disc is manufactured. The difference should only lie in the manufacturer of the player, the cables and the the tv displaying the image.

u reely hav compard blu-ray and hd-dvd side by side? im just wondering. how and when. ur underestimating blu-ray rite now. they use 25gb discs with M-PEG2 compression and hddvd discs use 30gb discs wit better vc1 compression. in the future it mite 50gb discs wit M-PEG4 compression.
