If you are a photographer who cannot yet use the raw format for your new camera in Apple's Aperture or iPhoto programs, then Apple has released an update that might help.

Apple is continuously adding support for the various raw formats to its programs, and regularly releases Digital Camera RAW updates for Aperture and iPhoto. The latest update, released today, adds support for the following camera makes and models:

Apple releases Aperture 3.2.3 and Epson Printer Driver update

Recently Apple updated iPhoto and other software packages to make it possible to delete photos from the Photo Stream feature that is part of its iCloud service. Apple updates Aperture, printer drivers

In the last couple of days Apple has released updates for EFI firmware to address Thunderbolt compatibility issues, as well as iPhoto to fix a crash with third-party video codecs. With an update released today, Apple's photo applications now can handle raw images from Nikon's new mainstream SLR and some new high-end compact cameras.
