Samsung's Galaxy S5 is expected to debut on February 24 at an event dubbed Unpacked. Now Samsung is teasing new features that may pop up in the new smartphone.
The latest image touting the event displays a series of icons for different categories, notably Speed, Outdoor, Curiosity, Fun, Social, Style, Privacy, Fitness, and Life. Despite Samsung's protestations over "racist" comments by an Apple attorney, the Korea-based gadget maker has been denied for a second time a mistrial in a patent-related case.
On Friday, Judge Lucy Koh again admonished Apple's legal team over remarks made last November during closing arguments in the case, which involved determining the damages Samsung should pay for patent infringement. But she ruled that the remarks didn't influence the jury's verdict and that the verdict would stand.

Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) and San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon introduced a bill that would mandate the inclusion of a "kill switch" in phones sold in the state. HTC and Nokia on Friday said that they would settle their legal differences over disputed patents, just the latest in a recent trend of surprising camaraderie between tech companies.
Under the agreement, the two companies will end all their pending patent lawsuits. HTC will pay Nokia a fee -- the amount of which was undisclosed -- for access to Nokia's technology and the two will collaborate on work involving HTC's LTE patents. Samsung is aiming to be more stylish with the latest twist on its Galaxy S4 phones.
The new Black Edition of the S4 and its S4 Mini counterpart come with a faux-leather textured back cover and bezel. Riffing on the same theme, the power adapter, data cable, and headphones are black as is the product packaging itself.
Buyers of the new versions will also find a suite of eight new wallpaper designs for the home and lock screens as well as several exclusive ringtones.
The black editions first popped up on Samsung's Russian Web site late last month.
