Twitter has nabbed a Google advertising executive to be head of retail as the company attempts to generate revenue and show it still has growth potential ahead of its initial public offering.
J.J. Hirschle, director of media and entertainment at Google, is joining Twitter and will head of the retail sales vertical, a Twitter spokesperson confirmed to CNET. Bloomberg was first to report on the news Wednesday.
