The LG G Pro 2 may add beefier speakers to its list of enhancements.
The successor to the LG G Pro will be equipped with a high-powered 1-watt speaker system, Korean news site ETNews said on Thursday. The bass will also be bassier courtesy of thicker speakers, while the sound itself promises to be clearer as well as more powerful. Overall, the audio output will be a 30 percent or more improvement over that of the LG G Pro, the site claimed.
Further, users will be able to adjust the sound level and other features via a dedicated app.

LG Electronics' upcoming G Pro 2 will feature an extremely thin bezel, making the face of the device feel as though it's all display, according to a new report.
The handset, which will succeed the somewhat popular Optimus G Pro, will have a bezel measuring just 0.4mm, according to a report out of Korea from FNNews. If that's the case, more than 77 percent of the device's face will be covered with display.
The report is the second rumor in as many days surrounding the highly anticipated handset. On Tuesday, LG said in a blog post … Read more
LG's upcoming G Pro 2 smartphone will sport one major improvement for photo takers.
The 13MP camera will be packed with optical image stabilization (OIS), LG said in a Korean blog post on Tuesday. OIS tries to ensure clear and sharp photos by compensating for any shakiness on the part of the picture taker. The feature can be found in other smartphones, including the HTC One, the Nexus 4, and Nokia's Lumia 1020.
The G Pro 2's camera is also capable of burst-mode shooting, which can capture 20 photos in a row, all at a resolution of … Read more
With the curvy G Flex, it's LG -- and not Apple -- that is showing it can "think different."
The G Flex, which arrives in the US via Sprint stores on Friday, with AT&T and T-Mobile following suit in the next few days, shakes up the normal conventions of the flat, rectangular slab of a touch-screen device pioneered by the iPhone. It was one of two curved phones that debuted late last year, the other being Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Round.
The immediate benefit is obvious: The curved design better conforms to your face, offers a … Read more
Earlier this week LG confirmed that the G Pro 2 will make its debut in February. Presumably launching at Mobile World Congress in late February, there's little else to know about the smartphone...officially.
Thanks to a pair of leaked images out of Korean Web site DC Inside (requires translation), we have a general idea as to what the G Pro 2 looks like.
Indeed, LG has again opted for the rear-mounted button configuration we first saw in the LG G2. The photos obtained by the site show a white handset with chrome accents, but we'll probably get … Read more

LG will reveal a G Pro 2 smartphone sometime next month.
In a Korean press release posted Monday, the mobile phone maker confirmed February for the grand unveiling. Though LG didn't give a specific date, odds are good that the phone will pop up at Mobile World Congress, which takes place in Barcelona from February 24 to 27.

LG Electronics swung to a loss in the fourth quarter, but saw signs of life flicker a little brighter in its smartphone business.
The Korean conglomerate posted a loss of 64 billion Korean won, or $59.1 million, reversing a year-ago profit of 223 Korean won, or $205.8 million. LG blamed an unfavorable shift in the foreign currency exchange rate for the year-over-year downturn.
Revenue, however, inched up 0.8 percent to 14.92 trillion Korean won, or $13.8 billion.
One of the main reasons for its slight revenue increase is the 28 percent rise in sales for … Read more
