HTC has 'no intention' to settle with Apple, say reports

HTC's chairperson said that the company has no intention of settling with Apple, according to Asia-based reports.

The report appeared in Wednesday's Digitimes and other Asia-based publications, which cite comments from Cher Wang, chairperson of HTC.

HTC "has great skills in innovation and has the confidence to face legal lawsuits with Apple," the Digitimes report says, attributing those comments to Wang.

She also said that the $1 billion jury verdict against Samsung in the U.S. "does not mean the failure of the entire Google Android ecosystem."

HTC will release a faster, more robust successor to the One X by early October, according to an anonymous source within the company.

The preliminary info, obtained by Stuff, suggests that the "Endeavour C2" HTC One X+ will feature a quad-core 1.7GHz Tegra 3 processor and run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. HTC's Q2 profit plunges 60% amid turnaround struggles

HTC's planned turnaround is going to take a lot longer than expected.

The struggling smartphone company posted a second-quarter profit of NT$7.4 billion, or US$247 million, nearly a 60 percent decline from its year-earlier profit of NT$17.5 billion, or US$584.3 million.

Revenue for the Taiwanese company fell by more than a quarter to NT$91.04 billion, or US$3.04 billion.

Radio Shack announced today it is cutting the price of AT&T's HTC One X in half to just $99.99 this Sunday, July 29. And as of this afternoon, AT&T has matched that price online.

This new price matches up with similar reports hitting the Internet in the early morning hours. Considering the high-end Android smartphone is only a few months old, the $100 price drop is quite noteworthy. Chances are good that the deep discount comes as a rebuttal to the Samsung Galaxy S3, which is now on sale for as low as $149.

T-Mobile could get HTC One X+ this September

T-Mobile customers may lack 4G LTE, but if the latest rumors are right, it'll be the first U.S. carrier to offer its customers a quad-core smartphone.

The HTC One X+, suggests TMoNews, will carry Nvidia's Tegra 3 quad-core processor, the same chipset used in international versions of the HTC One.

HTC confirms Android 4.1 update for One X, One S, One XL

HTC plans to update its One X, One S, and One XL smartphones with Android 4.1, also known as Jelly Bean, the company confirmed to Engadget today.

HTC confirmed the upgrade plans, but unfortunately didn't provide any specific detail on timing to CNET.
