What do you get when you take the Audi TT, yank out the 2.0-liter turbo-four, and drop in a 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder? Audi is going to show us when it unveils the Audi TT RS at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show.
The TT RS will also feature Audi's quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, chassis and suspension upgrades, and better brakes to balance out the extra power.

HERNDON, Va.--Audi of America President Johan de Nysschen says the United States and its small-equals-cheap mentality isn't ready for premium subcompacts such as the Audi A1, which goes on sale in Europe later this year.
De Nysschen told Automotive News last week that Audi is "seriously looking" at bringing the A1 here in the car's next generation in six to eight years. Bringing it here earlier could damage efforts to build widespread recognition for the Audi brand, he said.

Audi's new Q5 sports navigation graphics empowered by chip-maker Nvidia, along with a radically updated dashboard interface, which Audi calls the Multimedia Interface, or MMI. Integrated into the new navigation system is an automotive-grade Nvidia graphics processing chip, which allows the Q5 to display 3D renderings of urban centers on its navigation system. DETROIT--Audi will offer a hybrid version of its Q5 crossover in the United States starting in late 2010, says Wolfgang Hatz, head of power-train development for the Volkswagen group.
In an interview last week at the auto show, Hatz said Audi must offer a hybrid model to compete with rival vehicles that already offer the technology, such as the Lexus RX 400h. The BMW X6 will be offered as a hybrid late this year, and Mercedes plans to roll out a hybrid in each of its major models starting with the S400 hybrid this year.
