Juan Pablo Montoya vs. Kevin Harvick: Crash and Fight!

For some reason, spectators and Web video watchers love an exciting car crash, or to watch two celebrities getting in fights. Well today you're gonna get two for the price of one as we watch Nascar stars Kevin Harvick and Juan Pablo Montoya get in a scuffle after a crash on the track back in 2007.

On lap 72, it appears that JPM gets bumped and in turn collides with Harvick, sending their cars spinning. Not surprisingly, neither driver takes kindly to the accident, and some (probably) heated words get exchanged, and soon enough helmets are being grabbed and … Read more

Find concerts easily and enter a boxing ring: iPhone apps of the week

I went to Portland, Oregon, to visit my parents last week and had a great time spending time with my family and checking out the local breakfast spots. I even found new places to explore (thanks to my trusty iPhone). One thing I knew going up there is that my father and his girlfriend had already bought two iPhone 3GS phones and I would not be hearing the end of how much better theirs were than my year-old iPhone 3G. But my mother and stepdad live up in Portland too, and once they saw how cool and fun my iPhone … Read more

Your opponents are your friends

FaceFighter is a fairly simple, comically violent fighting game with a goofy twist: you create your own opponents, using pictures from your iPhone camera or photo albums--so that means you can bruise and brawl with just about anyone, whether your boss, your best friend, or a celebrity from a magazine. FaceFighter's foe-creation interface is intuitive and easy: you start with a pic, scale and rotate to line up the eyes and mouth, and then scale and rotate again to determine the face's borders. FaceFighter comes with two built-in enemies (Big Ben and Enemy Mime), but you'll quickly … Read more

Woman assaulted for asking loud cell phone talker to chill

Please tell the truth. Once in a while, you really want to tell someone describing at a high lung level the date they had last night with a perverted zombie to just belt up. Or at least to make his or her cell phone call a little more intimate.

Well, a woman standing in line at a Brooklyn bodega found Berta Rakhmamimov's cell-phone conversation a little too piercing.

And she allegedly wound up attacked by Rakhmamimov's fists, coffee and, naturally, stiletto heels.

For those of you fond of a blow-by-blow account of fisticuffs, police said that Rahkmamimov first … Read more

Disapproval eases for Yahoo board in this year's vote

Update at 3:08 p.m. PDT, with Carl Icahn's appointment to the board and closing stock price.

The results are in on the re-election of Yahoo's directors, and the damage is not as bad as last year. No one received more than a 22.1 percent withhold vote, compared with a substantially higher 34 percent last year, according to the company.

Shareholders withhold votes to re-elect directors as a means to send a message of investor dissatisfaction to a company and its board.

Here's how each director stacked up on their re-election:
