Final Cut Pro X update brings multicam back into the picture

Apple is pushing out an update to its Final Cut Pro X software this morning that brings back a feature pros feel was left out in the company's remake of its high-end video editor.

Now among the video editing software's tricks is support for multicam editing, the feature--which as the name suggests--lets editors view, cut together, and synchronize footage from multiple cameras.

Nvidia cuts revenue outlook, citing hard disk shortage

Nvidia has lowered revenue expectations for the period ending January 29, citing the hard disk drive shortage in Thailand.

Revenue for the fourth quarter is expected to be lower than the company's previous outlook provided with its financial results for the third quarter ended October 30, 2011, the company said this afternoon.

Revenue is now expected to be $950 million, plus or minus 1 percent, compared with original expectations of $1.066 billion, plus or minus 2 percent, provided on November 10, 2011.

Sprint ousts execs, merges its sales and marketing operations

Sprint Nextel plans to streamline its operations and oust several executives in a move to simplify its business

The company will combine the sales and marketing duties for its business and consumer operations, a Sprint representative confirmed to CNET. The move will lead to departure of four key executives. Reuters earlier reported the news, citing a company memo.
