After a weekend of immense enthusiasm and even wide-eyed utopian futurism regarding the debut of Apple's iPad, a bit of dust has settled. Perhaps Apple has hit the nail on the head of a new trend in future computing; perhaps this is just a bump on the road before the next leap.

On the heels of the introduction of the iPad, Apple is ready to talk about the next version of iPhone 0S.
The company sent media invitations Monday morning to an event where it will reveal iPhone OS 4. There were scant details, simply an e-mail with the above image that said, "Get a sneak peek into the future of iPhone OS."

With the 10.6.3 update Apple addressed a number of graphics-related issues, but in doing so introduced a problem for some people where they cannot get external monitors to either display the native resolution, or in some cases even work at all. When the monitors are connected and detected, the system will display at a resolution that's one step down from the native resolution, causing text and images to appear larger and blurry.… Read more
Earlier this month, the rumor mill reported that multitasking would make its long-awaited debut in iPhone OS 4. Now, according to "people familiar with Apple's plans for the new firmware" (as reported by AppleInsider), we're starting to get an idea as to how it will work.
As we noted previously, multitasking refers to an operating system's ability to run multiple programs (in this case apps) simultaneously and let you switch between them at will.

Following numerous other updates from Apple this week, the company has released a firmware update for AirPort Extreme Base Stations and Time Capsule devices. This update addresses wireless performance issues and problems with creating Guest networks when using the 5GHz band. One of the improvements that Apple included in the 10.6.3 update is compatibility with USB input devices. While this may have fixed some problems people were having with third-party mice and keyboards, it seems to have caused problems for other people where device input will periodically pause for about 10 seconds to 15 seconds.… Read more
