Samsung Kies is a free computer application that makes moving media (music, videos, or even contacts) to and from your Galaxy Tab much easier than manual file transfers. Apple this afternoon made available a second beta of iOS 5 to its developers. It's the first update Apple's provided to the upcoming operating system since taking the wraps off it at the company's annual developers conference earlier this month.
Besides bug fixes to the first beta, the new version of the software brings the Wi-Fi Sync feature to the Mac. Ford will tap into the power of Wi-Fi by wirelessly sending its Sync in-car software to vehicles as they're built on the assembly line.
Touting itself as the first automaker to use Wi-Fi on the assembly line, Ford said Thursday that the new process will cut out the need to build and store Sync modules for each car, helping to reduce costs, streamline manufacturing, and ultimately improve quality. The process takes advantage of the Sync system's built-in Wi-Fi that Ford added earlier this year.

Hey, Apple: If a Zune can sync over Wi-Fi, why can't an iPhone? I mean, it's the 21st century. Why do I still have to fish out my sync cable every time I want to copy photos to my PC?
That's a question for another day. In the meantime, there's WiFiPhoto, which, true to its name, wirelessly transfers snapshots from your iPhone to your computer. Any computer: Windows, Mac, Linux, etc., so long as it's connected to a Wi-Fi network.
