Jaguar shows off at traveling Alive Driving Experience

When many people think Jaguar, they think of slippery British sports cars lead by long, flowing hoods. They think of the E-Type: one of the most beautiful cars ever built. Teaser videos and pictures of the 2012 Audi A6 have been swirling around the Internet for the past couple of days, but here is the real thing.

Worldcarfans.com this morning posted this video on YouTube. It shows the 2012 Audio A6 sporting a delightful, if not conservative, design.

The 15-minute video highlights the LED headlights, taillights and 16-inch alloy wheels, an integrated trunk-lid spoiler, and a dual exhaust system. The wheelbase has been stretched out a bit longer than the 2011 as well.

The Lincoln MKS takes on European V8s

The Lincoln MKS with an EcoBoost V6 engine is put to the ultimate challenge for speed and handling against four European luxury V8s up Loveland Pass, Colo. The challengers are the Maserati Quattroporte, the Jaguar XF, the BMW 550i, and the Mercedes E550.

Unfortunately, no real details of the challenge, such as fuel economy braking and handling, are released. More details about the challenge can be found at 6versus8.com.

Jaguar is going to use next month's Frankfurt auto show to officially unveil its 2009 XF midsize sedan, but images and specs on the latest Big Cat were released today. Based on the Jaguar C-XF concept that we saw in Detroit earlier this year, the XF comes with four engine choices, including a supercharged V-8, as well as some advanced cabin and drive-train technology.
