So long, Longhorn
Hello, Vista. Microsoft finally settled on a name for its forthcoming OS. XP's successor traded in its code name, Longhorn, and will be dubbed Windows Vista. Microsoft said the first beta will be released on August 3 to developers, but you, the consumer, won't see the final release until the second half of 2006. Vista's tag line: Clear, confident, connected: bringing clarity to your world. I have doubts about any OS clarifying my world view, but a better way to search through Windows folders is a start.
