Apple all day keeps downloads away
Business Week reports that "weekly download sales as of November 27 fell 0.44 percent vs. the third quarter," according to an industry analyst. The blame is placed squarely on Apple's restrictive file format and pricing policies. Meanwhile, Apple says not to worry, iTunes gift cards are off the charts. It's true that I'd rather receive a gift card, since if someone bought me the file, I wouldn't be authorized to play it. DRM makes for a rotten holiday.
