Panasonic announces new high-zoom camera
Panasonic just announced the Lumix DMC-FZ7, a 6-megapixel camera with a 12X zoom lens. The FZ7 uses both Panasonic's Mega optical image stabilization and an antiblur High Sensitivity mode that boosts light sensitivity as high as ISO 1,600. These two features work together to prevent shots from being blurry. Of course, we'll have to see the shots ourselves before we can really say if these features produce good results--especially at the high ISO settings. The FZ7 also incorporates a variety of shooting modes for high-speed shooting, including a mode that can take three shots per second indefinitely. The FZ7 will start shipping in March and will retail for about $400.
