Palm to add Wi-Fi to future Treos
Well, it's about gosh darn time. In an interview with the Washington Post, Palm CEO Ed Colligan said the company will add Wi-Fi to future models of the Treo smart phone, adding that Palm hasn't integrated the wireless technology in the past because the company feared it would significantly reduce battery life. While this is great news, Colligan didn't specify when Palm would add this functionality, saying, "We do believe Wi-Fi is an important technology. There's no question that we'll ultimately put it in our products, but at the right time." However if the rumors are true, the Treo Lennon, which is speculated to debut in October on Cingular, is supposed to have built-in Wi-Fi. We're just saying...
