Nokia 7280 spotted in the wild
Ever since we reviewed the Nokia 7280, I've wondered if many people have actually bought one. While I think the phone is a cute idea, I didn't imagine there was a mad stampede to pick up the handset. Not only is the lack of a keypad a likely stumbling block for many, but the lack of a supporting carrier put the 7280 in the pricey $300 range. Sure, Kathy Griffin used one on the red carpet at the 2005 Oscars (or was it the Golden Globes?) but that was it as far as I knew. But then to my surprise I saw someone using the phone this week while I was walking to work. I almost stopped and asked them what they thought of it, but I figured that would be too weird.
