Google Talk: the dud in the Google lineup
It looks like Google Talk is the one less-than-stellar performer in the GOOG's stable. Comscore's usage numbers, reported this week on Tech Crunch and elsewhere, show that Google Talk is a total dud--commanding less than 1 percent of the total instant- messaging share and garnering a pathetic 44,000 users in June. And Microsoft can take a little bit of comfort from the numbers, as it continues to panic about Google taking over the title of "top evil empire dog": MSN Messenger apparently rules the IM market-share world. Who knew?
