Mozilla releases Firefox 2 beta 2
The Mozilla Foundation is rapidly putting the finishing touches on
Firefox 2, code-named Bon Echo. Although the original ship date for Firefox 2 beta 2 slipped a few weeks, the Mozilla team is already hard at work on the Firefox 2 Release Candidate 1, currently scheduled to ship around September 19, with the entire project on track for a late October 2006 release. Taking advantage of the software's built-in update mechanism, Mozilla said users running earlier previews of Firefox 2 will be automatically updated to beta 2, or you can download it here.
