Hey Buzz folks:

In 726, you had a discussion running license tags, and mentioned that Texas USED to have a site to do that. The fact is that there still is. www.publicdata.com provides this information, plus drivers licenses, criminal historys, and more for not just Texas but for about 20 other states. for a nominal annual fee and a "I will not use this for criminal purposes" online acknowledgement, I get 250 lookups. Although i am a member of the puiblic safety community, I can see how in the wrong hands this can lead to problems. WARNING: Dont run any family members, It leads to family warfare and hard feelings, Trust me I know. Let's just say, the truth hurts.

Great work on the Video Podcast - looking forward to the entire week being video

Regarding Comcast's plan to charge heavy users, perhaps they might consider time of day bandwidth allocation. Dave Winer's original idea for what became podcasts involved download overnight in an era with less bandwidth. In order to improve the experience for folks who are using browsers interactively and streaming video, etc., BitTorrent, software updating and other heavy bandwidth users that are not time dependent could set to run from 10 PM to 7 AM. This would even out use patterns, etc. and put off the need to update local infrastructure while keeping the big PTP bandwidth users happy and reducing chances of poor streaming and low responseiveness during time periods when most humans are interactively using the Internet. This is the same principle used for time of day pricing for electricity and other utilities.

A couple of thoughts on the new BOL videocast:
Too small. Please give us a little bit bigger screen/file size.
Headroom, headroom, headroom! No, not Max, but the cutting off of the top of your heads.
Come on, it's video production 101.
I'm out of nits, LTS.
