Jasmine and Donald try their best to analyze the leaked image of what may be Microsoft's new Zune MP3 player (aka the Zune HD). Then a rant on tiered music pricing gets Jasmine and Donald on a tangent about why they despise paying for cable, but justify paying for music subscription services. Plus, wooden earbuds, the Zoom H4n, and buying refurbs.

I wanted to know what your opinion is about buying refurbished players. A couple of reputable mp3 player companies are selling refurbd players cheap online. Are they really a good deal or would I be inheriting someone else's problems? -- Adam G.

Why shouldn't Microsoft incorporate the Xbox? Add some original Xbox games onto it, or maybe allow you to put Xbox movies (or Netflix) onto the Zune?

I believe it was released March 30. We were waiting for it for a while, but I finally got to review it yesterday. We'll talk about it on next week's show, but in the meantime: http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/sony-nwz-w202-w/4505-6490_7-33588493.html

With the Sony X-1000 series about to come out it would benefit Microsoft to leak a few details about the new Zune. Once a consumer spends that $200 to $300 for a new player the chance of buying another one in 2 or three months diminishes greatly. I've already noticed waves of excitement over the ZuneHD that is washing over any Sony lust.

I'm a bit disappointed of the design, its looks to much like a iTouch but a Touch Screen Zune is been on my mind for a while so cant wait. Heard your podcast and i think you two have a point maybe its just trying to compete because iTouch is tearing the competition with the Web Broswer, the use of App's, and mainly the TOUCH feature. Hope this "Zune HD" is true, i really need a iTouch alternative, not saying i hate Apple but im more of a Microsoft person and i need a player that is native to the OS (ex. iPod with Apple and Zune with MS, and yes i know they don't make have software for Apple)
