MP3 Insider 151: Bluetooth madness

by Donald Bell
and
Jasmine France

Donald and Jasmine bow to listener pressures and dedicate (almost) an entire episode to Bluetooth. On deck: a description of A2DP Bluetooth technology in detail, some fascinating info about the iPod Touch/iPhone's partially crippled BT functionality, and product shout-outs for Bluetooth-capable headphones and MP3 players. Also, consider yourselves warned: the hosts spend several minutes discussing the ousted "porn" app that was released in the iTunes App Store last week (not overly explicit).

Can you feature this [BT info] on the show because now that iPhones and Touches have this ability, this would be great info to pass onto listeners so we all be wireless.

Since I paid for the 3.0 software upgrade for Blue tooth, why would I not be able to use my BT GPS receiver? Did Apple hold out on us for greed? Did they bait everyone into thinking that there would full use of BT functions?

I would buy more apps like golf GPS programs for my iTouch if my BT GPS receiver would pair. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way.
