Adobe PageMaker 7.0 is an update to this classic desktop publishing program. Although Adobe now promotes InDesign as the preferred tool for professionals, PageMaker is the product that made desktop publishing what it is today and many still prefer it. This new version is now available for preorder.

MP3 Rage 3.5 is out. It is a collection of tools for MP3 enthusiasts. for starters, you can search for and download thousands of MP3's from the Internet using the Napster music sharing system and the Gnutella file sharing system. It has been updated to support recent changes to the Napster protocol.

Aimster 1.002 is a peer-to-peer file sharing based on the AIM protocol. The update fixes the "existing username" bug.

Microsoft "breakup" order overturned A U.S. appeals court reversed the court-ordered breakup of Microsoft and assigned a new judge to the case. But the Justice Dept. scores some victories, too.
