Users are reporting a few issues with Microsoft Office applications after the update.

Microsoft Word: Problems saving One MacFixIt reader reports problems saving documents in Word.

"After installing the latest OS X upgrade I cannot get word to save or save as an existing document. Using Microsoft Word 2004 for Mac, Version 11.3 (070131)."

Entourage: Problems synchronizing with devices Another reader reports issues with synchronizing devices with the Entourage database.

"The only problem I have so far is with syncing calendar items between the TREO and Entourage.  For some reason, many appointments now have a different time zone then Central (which they used to). So I needed to clean them up in Entourage.  It didn't occur to every appointment.

"Also - when I create an appointment on my Treo and sync, it now shows up in a different time zone than the TREO shows. The Treo shows CST but in Entourage it appears as Mexico (2 hours different).

"It's easily corrected in Entourage - but a little of pain.  This never occurred before the update."

Has the person complaining about the Treo and Entourage not syncing correctly updated their Treo for the new DST? Seems to be the obvious thing to look at first.

I am having a similar problem, along with another user in my office. The message indicates that Word cannot save because "too many files are open". I can Save As if I rename the document. I cannot do a Save As to replace the existing document. After quitting Word, if I try to reopen the original document I had the problem with, I get the message that the file is in use by "another user".

Using Microsoft Word 2004 for Mac, Version 11.3 (070131) after 1.4.9 I've noticed the "Optimising Fonts Menu" runs eash time I launch - anyone else seen that?
