AirPort Extreme Base Station 802.11n Firmware 7.1.1 (#3): Uninstalling

Downgrading to firmware 7.1 If you are experiencing serious issues after installing AirPort Extreme Base Station 802.11n Firmware 7.1.1 -- particularly an inability to connect to your base station, frequently dropped connections, or an inability to see your Base station altogether, you can revert your Base station's firmware to version 7.1 via these steps:

  1. Launch Airport Utility (located in /Applications/Utilities)
  2. Hold the Option key and choose Check for Updates.... From the AirPort Utility menu,
  3. Select firmware version 7.1
  4. Click Download.
  5. Select your base station then choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu.
  6. From the Base Station menu choose Upload Firmware....
  7. Select firmware version 7.1 and click OK

    I have not had this problem, but was wondering how you select the base station if you cannot see it.
