    Hi,
Sophos Antivirus vers. 4.8.12 and VMware Fusion vers. 1 are no more working after installing MacBookProSoftwareUpdate1.1 on my my MacBook Pro 2.4.
"InterCheck" extension in /Library/Application Support/Sophos Anti-Virus/InterCheck.app/Contents/Resources/InterCheck.kext, and "vmmon.kext" in /Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/kexts/vmmon.kext are not recognized at computer startup.

After applying this update I have lost my hard drive icon on the desktop and in the Finder sidebar! In save/open dialogues it's greyed out. Have tried repair permissions and deep cleaning cache with no change. This is the first time anything odd like this has happened to me after applying an update (particularly one which seemed quite small!).

In the end used "Mac Pilot" to make "Macintosh HD" visible again. Why this happened though is beyond me...

I have a 2.2Ghz Santa Rosa MBP. My LaCie Porsche Firewire drive is no longer being recognised by the OS. Xplane is still broken. Not to mention the erratic mouse pointer, DW4 kernel panics when starting up from CD and the erratic airport connection. Why did I put my old 15" PowerBook on eBay?
