Keyboard Software 1.2 released: May resolve various issues
In the past several days, we've reported on a bevy of issues related to Apple's aluminum keyboards, including potential interference with other USB devices (including iPods), issues with sleep, function key and startup command problems.
Apple has now released Keyboard Software Update 1.2 for the aluminum keyboards -- an update that is accopmanied by no release notes whatsoever. The release may, however, include fixes for at least some of the aforementioned issues.
If you've experienced resolution of issues or new problems after the update, please let us know.

On my tired old G5 dual AGP the keyboard now does what it says on the tin. F3 and F4 keys actually work! : )

(3 Comments)I immediately downloaded the keyboard update (1.2) on my 20" iMac G4 (power pc). All functions of the keyboard work as expected accept for the ability to use any key stroke start-up commands.
I tried running applejack and the application quits at test #2 (permissions repair) stating loss of USB power...
