QuickTime 7.2 compatibility update delivers iLife app enhancements

Apple has released the QuickTime 7.2 compatibility update, which carries no detailed release notes, indicating only that it "improves iLife" compatibility.

The new release makes modifications only to the following file:

  • /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeComponents.component

Though Apple makes no indication regarding specific enhancements, each of the new iLife '08 applications has displayed significant QuickTime-related issues for some users. See our iMovie and iPhoto special reports for details.
