I still do not see anything in here regarding the problems with Leopard and Mail when trying to access various SMTP servers. This is a royal pain. Go to Apple's DIscussion section and type in "Mail SMTP" and you will see way too many users like myself with this problem.

Also, my father can no loner use his internal dial-up modem in his G4 Powerbook, after upgrading to Leopard. Using various scripts without being able to get a dial tone. Another problem noted on Apple's discussions.

maybe its my imagination, but it seems that LEOPARD is a real letdown, and is still in
mid-late beta, much more so that in the past. should've waited till Dec 31 to release it

I didn't notice anything about what I consider a significant bug in Leopard 10.5.1 relating to Parental Controls. At my company, we use them solely to restrict access to various applications, but don't want to restrict anything else, in particular, we don't want restrictions on web access since our business is highly dependent on the web for research (for documentaries).

However, it appears that even if the Web Content is set for unrestricted, if you simply enable Parental Controls, then managed users may be denied access to websites. This has caused problems doing research on LexisNexis such that a search wouldn't return any results & simply reset to the search page.

This has also caused problems subscribing to iCal calendars published to a WebDAV server requiring authentication. I only found out this when I was looking at the blocked sites in the Parental Controls log.

This is so bad that I've had to turn off Parental Controls, which makes me very cranky...

I had quite a time getting on Leopard. i had the blue screen, then the "no finder" startup (which was really scary). Finally i got a tip to Archive and Install, which worked, sort of. First of all, there was no "Previous System" folder. Also things are kind strange, most notably Photo Booth. I get a camera with a line through it. I dont have any camera besides the built in one that came with this G5 flat screen Power PC iMac.
Try Disk Utility? That doesn't work either. Get "less than one minute" for more that 20.
    Thanks!

For Symantec AntiVirus 10.1.2 LiveUpdate doesn't update properly. Every time LiveUpdate runs I get an error message. However if I manually download the virus definition file from Symantec and then install it I have no problem with this.

My Mac Pro Quad Core Xenon 2.66 Ghz running OS X 10.5.2 with new Mac Metal Keyboard does not allow input when awaking from sleep when Photoshop CS3 is running. My WACOM Intos 3 also fails to input to the MAC at the same time the Keyboard is non responsive.
I must restart using the Power Button to regain control. This started after the machine was updated to Leopard in January 08.
