MacBook Air: non-user-replaceable battery
It looks like the MacBook Air is the first Mac portable in recent history (we know of) to lack a user-replaceable battery. Though Apple doesn't document the fact directly, it looks like the battery is so tightly enclosed in the case that user-replacement will not be possible. Expect the company to charge a fee and require authorized service to replace the battery when its capacity decreases.
The MacBook Air page on Apple's site states that the device includes an "Integrated 37-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery."
