Nearly two months after DiskWarrior 4.1 was made availale to new buyers of the venerable disk repair utility, the update has been released as a free CD updater for existing customers. This free updater will allow you to create a new startup CD containing the updated DiskWarrior application. Alosft adds:

"Please note that the new startup CD will start up the same set of Macs as your current DiskWarrior CD. Your new CD will not start up any Mac that your current DiskWarrior CD can not."

DiskWarrior 4.1 features full compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5.x (Leopard). Primarily, this release includes the ability to repair Time Machine backups by working with damaged directory hard links.
