After the update the preferences for bluetooth keyboard and mouse were broken. Fixed it with booting into safe mode once.

Does this update allow Airport Utility to connect to base stations that are using 5.5.1 firmware?

In addition to the TM and Airport updates - there is a firmware update to TM - 7.3 -> 7.3.1.

Just launch Airport Utility and follow the bouncing ball. No problems enocuntered

I should have written TC 7.3 -> 7.3.1

There are firmware updates available (to version 7.3,1) for Airport Express, Airport Extreme and Time Capsule. Open Airport Utility and follow the prompts.

I do not get a prompt after installing the update.
When I try to update the firmware by hand, I am not offered the 7.3.1 update.

Any ideas? I already reinstalled the standalone updater...

TIA

Applied to MP 2.8 (early 2008) 10.5.2 with zero trouble.

Are these only for the most recent Airport Extreme Base Stations? I downloaded the update, restarted and not only was not prompted for a firmware update, but could not manually find one either for my "flying saucer" Extreme station.

I think Apple's done releasing firmware updates for the older saucer-shaped base stations unless something major turns up broken.

The update seems to cause Spotlight to index the Time Machine drive, even though the drive is listed in Spotlight's Privacy setting. Attempting to remove the drive from the list and add it results in a "Privacy List Error - The item couldn't be added or removed because of an unknown error."

Trying to eject the Time Machine drive (connected through FW 800), generates the error: "The disk ___ is in use and could not be ejected. Try quitting applications and try again."

Note that this update bumps the 10.5.2 build from 9C31 to 9C7010 and precludes reinstalling the 10.5.2 COMBO update. Bug report to Apple's bugreporter system sent, requesting that Apple release a new 10.5.2 COMBO update, incorporating all recent updates: Safari 3.1, SecUpd 2008-002, Airport, and TM.

I also have re-install combo update problem. Got error message: "You cannot install Mac OS X Update Combined on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."

Installed on iBook G4 14" 1.42 GHz. Airport updates caused kernel panics. Used Pacifist to revert to 10.5.2 airport drivers. System now seems to be stable

When trying to download the Time Machine and Airport update to my H.D. I get the comment: "You cannot install Time Machine.... updates on this volume. This update requires Mac OS X 10.5.2 or newer."
I have 10.5.3 - why can't I download?
