Apple Releases VoicOver Kit 1.0.1 Update for iPod Shuffle

by CNET staff

Apple has released an update for the new iPod shuffle, which addresses problems people were having with the new VoiceOver features, including pronunciations and other fixes that are currently undisclosed by Apple.

We recently reported on a few of the problems that people were having with the iPod Shuffle, particularly with VoiceOver announcing generic names, as well as a few fixes for these problems. This update may address these issues and keep people from having to apply workarounds to get VoiceOver functionality working properly.

The update is 17MB and is currently available through Software Update, but should be available for download from Apple's website soon.

If you have troubles with this update, please contact us: http://www.macfixit.com/contact.
