Issues surrounding the recent Microsoft Office update have left some users with a continuous loop from Entourage asking for permission to use Keychain Access. Although users select "Always Allow" the message continues to appear. Another issue users have experienced relates to the Microsoft Office custom dictionary not allowing new words to be added.

MacFixIt reader "Richard S." reports a solution for the continuous loop issue caused by Entourage:

"A fix that works for me everytime I upgrade MS Office 2008 for the Keychain problem when clicking "Always Allow" does not cure the problem is as follows:
1. go to System Preferences.
2. Click on Security.
3. Click on Firewall.
4. If you have set access for specific programs, checked, and Entourage is one of them, click on minus sign and delete Entourage.
5. Click on the plus sign and go into Finder, Applications, MS Office 2008, add Entourage back.
6. I find I have to restart Leopard before the change takes place. Afterwards, no more prompting from Keychain.

Works everytime!"

MacFixIt reader "David B." reports a solution when adding words to the custom dictionary appears to not be working correctly:

"I am able to add new spelling words after resetting the location of the custom dictionary that I am using. (Tools menu --> Spelling & Grammar)."
As always, before trying any solution on MacFixIt be sure to have a stable backup.
