MacBook Pro Special Report: Missing components
S-Video Out gone Apple has apparently also dropped S-Video out capabilities on the new notebook, necessitating purchase of a separate DVI to S-Video adapter.
Modem gone In addition, the MacBook Pro is the first Apple notebook in recent memory to not include an internal modem. Apple started this trend with the iMac G5s introduced in October, and offers a USB modem for users who require it.
FireWire 800 Apple also dropped FireWire 800 capabilities from the 15" notebooks, though the feature remains on 17" MacBook Pros.
