OpenOffice.org not recognizing printers

We've received multiple reports recently of users being unable to print to otherwise working devices from OpenOffice.org, the office suite that sports compatibility with Microsoft Office document formats.

Most readers experiencing the issue report that printers recognized by every other application in Mac OS X are simply not listed when attempting to print from OpenOffice.

If you are experiencing a similar issue, please let us know.

Not an issue if you're using NeoOffice - which has OSX-native printing rather
than running under X11. Current stable version is 1.2.2 (which is built on
OpenOffice v1.1.5) but a new version built around OpenOffice v2.0.2 will be
along soon-ish (in alpha at the moment, but pretty stable already).
