iPhoto 6.0.4 released: New themes added

by CNET staff

Apple has released iPhoto 6.0.4, a minor update to its photo organization, editing and presentation application.

The new release has a variety of new Greeting Card and Postcard themes for use with Apple print services, including invite and thank you card designs for summer parties, weddings, birthdays, etc.

Apple says, and we concur:

"Before installing, it is recommended that you make a backup copy of your iPhoto library folder, which is located in your Pictures folder."

Photo library corruption issues are most common when performing an update or when launching a new version, so make sure to have a backup on hand if possible.

iPhoto 6.0.4 is available through Software Update, or as a standalone download.

Problems with the new release? Please let us know.
