Apple releases Bluetooth Firmware 1.2.1 for PowerPC-based Macs

Apple has released the Bluetooth firmware updater 1.2.1 for PowerPC-based Macs.

The company's typically cryptic release notes for the update state that it "improves Bluetooth performance and reliability issues."

Note that when the update package is downloaded, the Bluetooth Firmware Updater application will be launched. Follow the on screen directions to update your Bluetooth Firmware.

This update is not necessary if you were successful in installing Bluetooth Firmware Update version 1.2.

Bluetooth firmware 1.2.1 is available through Software Update or as a standalone download [1.4 MB].
