Exhibits same print issues as Photoshop 9.0.1 We previously reported on a problem with printing from Adobe Photoshop CS2 9.0.1 where banding or posterization within a very small range of tones/colors (which typically include skin tones, the transition between yellow/orange, and some reds) is noticeable.

According to Adobe, the actual cause of the problem is due bug within Mac OSX 10.4.x that had been hot-fixed by Apple for Photoshop 9.0 (AKA CS2), but was broken again with Photoshop CS2 9.01 testing net.

It now appears that the same issue affects Adobe InDesign CS 4.0.3.

The problem should be resolved in the forthcoming Mac OS X 10.4.7 release.

Crash on launch Some MacFixIt readers are reporting a crash-on-launch after updating to InDesign 4.0.3.

One reader writes:

"InDesign CS 2 crashes just after loading Quicktime components. From the crash log, the following is implicated: Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeComponents.component/Contents/MacOS/QuickTimeComponents"/

"I have tried trashing indesign.plist and all QuickTime preferences but it still crashes a the same point."

If you are experiencing a similar issue, please let us know.
