iTunes 5.0.1 Special Report: Release Notes, update recommendations

On September 20th, Apple iTunes 5.0.1, solving a number of major issues with the 5.0 release (see our special report, Troubleshooting iTunes 5.0).

Apple's release notes indicate only that the new version has "several stability improvements."

The new release is available through Software Update or as a 13.8 MB standalone Web download.

As usual, make sure that the iTunes application is located in the appropriate folder (/Applications) before applying this update.
