Illustrator CS2 (12.0.1): Pasting bug fixed
MacFixIt reader Luther Golledge reports a bug, corroborated by other users, where information pasted into Illustrator CS2 (version 12.0.0) is garbled or otherwise distorted.
Luther writes:
"I've successfully reproduced a bug in Illustrator CS2 across two machines. Whenever you cut and paste any text into the graph feature of CS2, it adds erroneous characters. It seems to be most noticable when pasting from Excel - the actual numbers are present, but with a whole lot of garbage characters added. The same text pastes successfully into any other application. The effect is constant, irrespective of where you source the copied text from. There is no change if I cut and paste into and out of various other applications first, or if the AICB/PDF options are off."
UPDATE: It appears that this bug has been resolved with the release of Illustrator CS2 12.0.1, which is available through the program's automatic update function.
