I am experiencing two problems with Safari since upgrading to 10.4.x. 1) Safari
crashes consistently when viewing weather.com. 2) Safari will stall for long
periods of time when loading just about any page. Arstechnica, Wired,
Slashdot,Macslash,Think Secret to name a few.

The stalling thing is like what was happening back in the 10.2.x days.

I'm check anyone seem this issue with MS Windows Media Player not being able to listen to certain streams. There is a station I listen to on Friday morning only because they only broadcast then that I can't listen to on Mac OS X 10.4.1 with Windows Media Player. I can hear the broadcast with 10.4.0 or older OS. The link to the station is:
    http://www.cocontyrls.com/portals/503a422a-38d2-4ab5-b129-e1cb28a42329/kkup.asx
Remember this station broadcast only Friday mornings from 7AM to 9AM Pacific Time.
Other stations take a long time to resolve the address but the is the only station I hear that won't.

I am having lots of problems with Final Cut Express HD and DVD Studio Pro 3
    under Mac OS X 10.4.1.

FCE freezes when running some of the edited timeline footage in the display
window (application not responding). Happens at the same place in the
timeline everytime. I have left it for several hours to see if it resolves itself
but always have to resort to force quit.

FCE crashes when working with Compressor to export mpeg-2 files. Random
    - sometimes works OK.

DVD Studio Pro crashes (error report to Apple) when importing mpeg-2
assets. Happens most of the time but occassionally gets through OK.

All these apps worked fine under 10.3.9.

Is anyone else experiencing similar problems? Could it be something to do
with Quicktime? (I do have the latest versions of the apps and QT). Any
suggestions on what to try? Or do I wait for a patch from Apple?

I contacted Apple Care and was told. The only solution was to do an "Archive"
and to "Preserve user and Network" I went through this before and the 'Mother
Board' had to be replaced on the G-5! "There is no fix" I was told... I had all the
problems and they knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it go back
    to 10.4!

What were the specific problems you contacted AppleCare about, please? (Were
they the Final Cut problems mentioned in the post before yours, or somethng
    different?)

    Thanks.

Since installing Tiger, Safari does not appear to save my bookmarks after I
manually save them. Has anyone else had this glitch?

Since installing Tiger, I have had problems printing to an Epson printer that is shared on a Windows XP machine. I can go into the CUPS administration http://localhost:631/ and print a test page ok.

However, when I print from an application, the print job gets aborted. I looked into Console, and found this: "kCGErrorRangeCheck : Window Server communications from outside of session allowed for root and console user only".

Does anyone know how to fix this? It was fine working under Panther.
