Utilities Updates: Virtual PC; SnapTop; NameCleaner; MacApp; more

Update: Dan Frakes writes: "Connectix told me that starting Tuesday, registered users of v2 will be able to download the update from the web site for a charge of $9.95 (rather than the $44 they are quoting now)."

Update: Rick O'Leary believes Dan is mistaken. According to Rick, the $9.95 is the shipping charge for those who are eligible for the "free" upgrade. For everyone else, including those who download the upgrade, Rick was told the price is $44. I suppose I could ask Connectix to help sort this out but, at this point, I 'll just wait till Tuesday and see what happens.

Cameraid 1.1.3 is the latest update to the all in one digital photography utility program for Mac OS. This update adds improved support for new cameras, and adds a few other features and bug fixes.

SnapTop Pro 1.0 allows the user easy and instant access to his/her desktop from any application. This new Pro version is completely PowerPC optimized and offers dramatic speed improvements, better customization, SnapTop Turbo for response control, and much more.

Road Runner Client 1.6 (final version) has been released. It's an alternate login client for the Road Runner cable modem service.

NameCleaner 2.0 is designed to help move files to and from foreign file systems such as MS-DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows95, Windows NT, NetWare and Unix.

Apple MacApp 13u4p2 and Ad Lib 3.0.1b, Apple developers' tools, have been released.

Virex 6.0b5 is now available.

MassTransit 3.12 is out.
