Apple Multiscan 15" Display color problem - and more

First it's the AppleVision 1710, now it may be the Apple Multiscan 15" Display. Several readers have reported problems with this monitor losing its ability to display the full range of colors ("red color gone from monitor," "permanent yellow hue"). Apple appears to be aware of the problem and may replace the monitor for you, but (according to the reports I have received) has been less than forthcoming in officially admitting that a problem exists.

On a related note, Milton Standifer writes that a bad power supply on any Apple multisync monitor is known to be a cause of spontaneous restarts of the Mac itself.
